MBL is fully insured, bonded, covered by WCB, and has an A+ rating with BBB. We offer a two-year warranty on everything we do. We are also licensed as a prepaid contractor.
Our reputation with clients is extremely important. We are proud to say that 90% of our business comes from referrals. In order to refer us to someone, you must have trust that we will do a great job for them. And we must have done a great job for you! Thanks to all who have done this, as you are the reason we are here to serve our home area.
The majority of our staff is family. We are a general contractor that is physically involved in the work. We also have a network of professionals and licensed trades people in the area we use to help with your projects.
Our History
MBL construction is a family run company. Our family started in the construction industry back in the 1960’s in North central Alberta. The family grew over the years and now we call the Calgary and Okotoks area home.
We have been providing construction services in this area since 1998.
This community is very important to us as well as our reputation in the community. When the football tower burned down at Okotoks Composite High School, we leaped into action and put in the extra time necessary to reconstruct it in time for the first game of the season. It was important to the team therefore it was important for us to get it done. We continue to support our community as much as possible through volunteer work at the food bank and other opportunities like the hard labouring hours that were needed to help clean up after the High River flood. We try our best to support our community and the people who make it great.
Jason
Jason has been in the construction industry since he was a teenager working with his father. Since then he has worked as a framer, finish carpenter, tile setter and has experience in many of the other trades. Jason also worked for a management consulting firm for the construction industry while he was finishing his Masters in I/O Psychology. He has been running MBL with his father since 2004 and currently manages all operations with the help of his wife Holly who works in the office.
Richard
Richard worked with his father building houses since he could swing a hammer. He has honed this skill over the years with many different projects and understands what needs to go into a renovation to meet todays standards and clients expectations. He is always willing to help our clients work through the decision processes of a renovation.
